In a recent panel discussion organised by the WEF, host Nicky Dean suggests that in order to “get on track towards Net Zero”, “we’re going to need to change [the] behaviours” of individuals, corporations and governments, using a combination of rewards (“carrots”) and punishments (“sticks”), but “we’re likely to see an increasing move towards more stick-like interventions into the future, as things worsen, if we’re not able to act”.
Almost sounds like a threat, doesn’t it?
